About

Dr. Jay Wright’s Philosophy

Focusing on functional recovery has been instilled in me since my physical medicine and rehabilitation residency. As a physiatrist, I was trained to restore patients’ abilities after injuries or illnesses. Now, as a pain management physician, I am armed with even more techniques to ease pain and improve function across a wide spectrum of conditions. While relieving pain matters, my primary goal is to restore function. Whether that be an older adult enjoying retirement or an elite athlete returning to peak performance, I strive to help my patients reclaim the activities that make their lives meaningful.

Establishing an accurate diagnosis is one of the cornerstones of that mission. I take my time reviewing imaging, performing a focused physical exam, asking targeted questions, and most importantly listening closely to each patient’s story. This diligence often uncovers underlying issues that others may have missed, allowing me to pinpoint the true source of pain and dysfunction. Without that clarity, treatment plans fall short and patients rarely reach their full potential.

By centering care on functional recovery, I empower people to pursue their passions again: enjoying hobbies, exercising, competing in sports, working, or simply spending quality time with family and friends. In short, my goal is to help patients live their fullest lives despite spine problems or chronic pain.
It would be my privilege to provide you with the life changing care you deserve.
